Songs on Repeat

Every month I’ll have songs that play on repeat over and over again constantly. It’s been a long time since I’ve updated my YouTube channel and currently I am still unable to record, so I’ve decided to make a list of some songs that I have been listening to a lot over the past few months. So let’s begin!

The first song I want to mention is “The Waltz” by Never Shout Never from their album ‘Indigo.’ You may or may not be familiar with this song because it is a bonus track on their Spotify Exclusive version of the album. If you do know the song, you probably also recognize it in most of the song “Fone Tag” from their album ‘Black Cat.’ Anyways, to me, this song is always a good listen. It’s super cute! This song is wanting someone to tell you all about themselves because you’re so into them, but you’re also wanting to know why they want to be with you. And they’re on the other side just waiting for your phone call because they want you as well.

The second song is “Satellite” by Mayday Parade. ICYMI, the band recently came out with a new album called ‘Sunnyland.’ I actually wrote a “review” on it that you can check out here. What really draws me in is how mellow it starts yet there are more sounds like drumsticks being hit. Altogether, I know that there will be more, so it makes me want to keep listening. Once the chorus comes, it’s faster and louder and I love it! It’s just one of those songs that gives you something to look forward to instead of wanting to skip to the next song after a certain part.

Next is “Holy,” a well known song if you are a Pvris fan. Pvris’ first album ‘White Noise’ includes the song just mentioned that can be very relatable and it is to me. This song is about having a friend who claims to be religious, however, they do not practice what they preach. They’re a “poor unfortunate soul” for they say things but really, it doesn’t mean anything to you because they do the opposite. For example, saying that you should love everyone yet they discriminate some people based off their gender, sex, sexuality, race, etc. They judge. They only care about what will happen to them after their death. A lot of us have friends like this, so whenever this song pops up in my playlist, which is a lot, I turn it up way loud and sing at the top of my lungs.

“Everything I Ask For” by The Maine is next. This song is so catchy! But not only that, the lyrics are pretty neat. Basically it’s a song about someone who isn’t into what you are, and is into what you’re not, but they still like you. Also, they make you feel like crap sometimes, or a lot, and there are some bad things happening, but the both of you are still wanting to be together. Everything is worth it. Although there are some not so great parts, they’re everything you could ever want.

Lastly, “Hericane” by LANY. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you can do so right here. If you are ever in a good, vibey mood, give them a listen and definitely check out this song. Music, some more than others, can make you feel as if you’re in a trance. This song is one of them. I know I’m not the only one who’s be been in a music trance before. Honestly, they’re pretty great! “Hericane” is a tune you’ll want to listen to as you lie down, have some twinkling lights turned on in your room, and have nothing and no one bothering you. Trust me, you won’t regret it. But also pay attention the lyrics, they’re amazing.

You can check out these songs in the playlist I created on Spotify below. I will be adding new songs to it every month with some extra ones. Happy listening!
