Vans Warped Tour is about halfway through on their very last full cross country tour. If you have already attended, I hope you had a blast! Maybe you’ve made some new friends. Maybe you got to see all of your favorite bands. And better yet, maybe you met your favorite bands! Now to those of you who have not attended yet but your date is coming up, know that there is a lot of waiting around sometimes. So what do you do during the few hours of nothing to do? Well, here’s a run down of about what your day will look like with things to do to keep you occupied:
You’ve definitely either bought your schedule/map for $2 or you have taken a picture of the inflatable schedule once you have entered the venue. Next, you have gone to your favorite bands’ tents to check their meet and greet times and anything else they have going on. You already know that you should probably get in the meet and greet lines about 30 – 60 minutes ahead of the start time. Then, once you’re done with most things you were wanting to do, the next band may or may not play until way later.
What you could do while you wait is definitely check out the PETA tent to get some free goodies/stickers. PETA also has a tent where you can watch a four minute video. What do you get out of that? You learn what PETA’s about and you earn $1! Another thing you can do is check out the TRUTH truck. They have a live DJ playing some awesome tunes, lots of games, free merch that you can get, and even more! Head Count is also there. What you can do with them is register to vote. Let’s be the future that makes a positive change. Also, keep your phone charged all day with Electric Standard Co. Once your charger is dead, go back to the tent all day long to pick up a new fully charged one. Go to the Monster Mutant truck as well and get yourself a free super soda. You will not regret it! The last thing that will be mentioned, although there are so many more things to do, is go to the FEND Movement tent. FEND is all about being against opioid addiction. If you download the app, you have a chance to go to a private acoustic We The Kings or Waterparks set. How exciting!
