For those pop punk lovers, AKA whom I like to call Pop Punk Princes and Princesses, I have a playlist to share with you that I’ve created. This is for when you’re feeling down, are just in the need to feel some strong emotions or just want to listen to these songs. Trigger warning, though, because some of the songs do touch on some triggering areas such as drugs, suicide, mental health, etc.
Some bands featured in this playlist are Knuckle Puck, Paramore, Movements, The Story So Far and Turnover. As you scroll through the songs, you’ll notice how some of them aren’t quite pop punk, maybe more toward the emo spectrum, but at least to me these particular songs give off the same vibe. Some examples of these said songs are “Somebody Else” by The 1975, a couple tunes by Never Shout Never, “Ever So Sweet” by The Early November and a few by Hotel Books.
This is a sad pop punk mixtape that’s been in the works since 2020 and I still keep adding to it to this day. So far it’s 6 hours and 24 minutes long. I should add more soon, I know, I’m working on it.
We be down sometimes, and that’s OK! We have music, we have each other, we have this community, and that’s what makes music in general so special.
The playlist is below. Unfortunately I only have it on Spotify, but if I should make this into a YouTube playlist as well, please let me know.
Happy (haha) listening!
