Favorite Alt Music

We all have our favorite time of year whether it is a holiday, sports season, vacation time, etc. For me, it is right now when many bands announce that they are going on tour and they release the dates usually at the same time. It has always been the same routine for me every single year since about sophomore year of high school. Summer was great, I got to attend Vans Warped Tour yet again. It is now the end of summer and I am definitely not crying while I reminsce about my day(s) at Warped (yeah right!). I’m getting ready for school to begin once again – I have my new clothes, some of which are new band tees, and supplies – I am ready, but not too excited.

I’m scrolling through my Instagram feed and suddenly see the first of many tour announcements that will be taking place during the week or two. Then there’s another. And another. And yet again, another! I am beyond excited and worried because I really want to go out and see my favorites live but I also need to figure out a way to ask my mom for permission. I’m 22 but she treasts me as if I’m still 14 (it’s all good I guess).

It’s one announcement after another. I see it on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and I also get some bands’ tweets sent to my phone, so everything is blowing up with new upcoming tours! I’m exctied to see bands for the first time or the fourth time – it never gets old.

If you are planning on attending at least one upcoming show, I hope you have so much fun! And if you are not for whatever reason, there is always next time. Concerts are not going away.
