Favorite Alt Music

Although I am located in Oregon, I traveled by car all the way to Denver, CO to attend this year’s, AKA very last, Vans Warped Tour. This year the music festival did not hit anywhere near me in Washington or Oregon, so I had no choice but to drive about 16 hours. But you know what? It was so worth it!

This year I got to see bands AS IT IS, The Maine, Waterparks, and a little bit of This Wild Life. I took my mom with me since I have always wanted her to experience Warped Tour. She is so cool that she got Awsten Knight from Waterparks to wave at us! However, the number one thing on my list was to meet The Maine. After nine years of being a fan, I finally met the whole band. Kennedy from the band talked to my mom and I in line outside the venue because we were wearing Brazil merch, so we ended up discussing the World Cup a little bit with him. It was so great! But when I met the band, it was the greatest thing.

I have now attended the Vans Warped Tour for five years and attended seven total dates. Let’s just say that this one was one of my favorites. I will never ever forget July 1, 2018. Vans Warped Tour, you will be missed.
