Listen now: A moody mix for your sad feels

This is different than what I’m used to posting about, but it must be talked about …

It’s the emo lyrics, the electronic sound and moodiness that make a recent work something that will leave you in your feels. Going by the name nightmare, the singer-songwriter has recently uploaded his first track under said name onto Spotify and SoundCloud. Titled “hollow,” the new tune features the brilliant artist eunhae. With their talent together, the two of them have created a piece of art that may feel like a hug, knowing you’re not the only one with hearbreak.

There are different aspects of this song that put together results in the listener maybe lying on their bed reminiscing the past or singing along to it, blasting the song from speakers. Sadness is heavily sprinkled througout the lyrics that nightmare so carefully put together. In a way, it’s moody, and that is what adds spark to it. And eunhae’s response, written by her, will feel like a stab in the heart, that pain you want to go away but you can’t help but replay in your head even though “it hurts so bad.”

With “hollow,” it’s part of the mixing of the sound and voices that makes it more lowkey than what you might expect, although the mixing in its entirety is done creatively and uniquely wonderful. But it goes so well with the sadness of its lyrics. There’s no doubt that nightmare did a wonderful thing with this first track under this name, and hopefully we see more of his work soon. Featuring eunhae was the perfect addition to the tune.
