The Portland, OR band Waterfronts have joined together with the band Substitute Dad to create a split EP titled ‘Split-Splitley’ that was released today. The four-track EP features two Waterfronts and two Substitute Dad songs. Waterfronts’ songs are “Homecoming” and “Waiting List” that you can listen to below and you can click here to listen to Substitute Dad’s songs fron the EP (the bands’ songs are not linked together).
Tonight, the two bands along with the band The Kelevras put on a free release show for the public to celebrate the new EP. The Kelevras played first, kicking off the night. Substitute Dad was second, and I was amazed. A talented group of people alongside Waterfronts put on a terrific show. Waterfronts was last and they absolutely killed it! The PDX band is made up of five very musically gifted individuals who have come together to create a wonderful piece of art, music. Songs from the new EP were played as well as their single “Headaches.” Tonight was definitely unforgettable.
Make sure to follow Waterfronts on Spotify to be up-to-date with their future releases!
Last Tuesday I got to attend my third Emo Nite. I went by myself but met a couple friends there. Let’s just say that this was by far the best Emo Nite I have been to. I had so much energy and I was yelling out the lyrics at the top of my lungs. Typically these days I do not lose my voice at shows, maybe because I am so used to being loud, but that night I did lose it. The energy at the venue was so great and I felt as though I was accepted by everyone there. There were songs that were played that I already love, and as always, I fell in love with even more songs. Overall, being with friends and listening to really great music was what made my night. It was really good to be there last week since I had projects and a midterm all in the same week, so it was nice to have a break of so much fun!
Check out the pictures below, one which was taken by the photographer!

Emo Nite goers! There is a playlist for you that Emo Nite LA has created. When you’re missing the night consisting of your favorite throwback songs, give the playlist a listen and reminisce. Now, if you’ve never attended Emo Nite, well you’re missing out! If you’re planning on going for your very first time (finally!), this will get you prepared for one of them best nights you’ll ever have. As for someone who’s attended, let me just say that it is a night of happiness and you’ll definitely get the feels. But it’s a great experience with good vibes and lots of energy. We’re sad as f**k and that is OK. If you’re wanting to attend, you can click here for their tour dates. Enjoy your night and remember, “Every Nite Is Emo Nite.”
Lately I’ve been obsessing over The Wrecks’ song “James Dean.” I have seen the band The Wrecks two times now. The first time was when I fell in love with them. The second time was when my love for this band grew even more. This band includes five energetic members with an amazing sound. If you haven’t listened to them, you’re definitely missing out! They have an EP out called “Panic Vertigo” that you can listen to here. Comment what you think of them. Happy listening!
If you/your band would like to be featured on my page, go here and tell me the name of your band, where it’s from, music genre, etc. Anything you think I might need to know/you’d like me to include. Also, send me a link to your music. My preference is Spotify but I’ll be more than happy to check it out on YouTube and any other source that I can easily access. I do NOT have Apple Music. Can’t wait to post about you! Continue reading “Want to be Featured?”

The band SWMRS is back at it again with a new tour! They will be playing within the UK and EU in August. Does this mean that maybe they will be touring the U.S. soon as well? We can only hope for now. In the meantime, you can be in the loop through their Twitter page.
